Changing Strategy One Person at a Time!

Abstract

When companies implement a new strategy or move to a different strategy one element is always the same – change. For change to succeed and bring the company the desired results, no matter what processes have changed or the style of ‘new‘ organizational structure being implemented, they can never be successful unless the people involved change as well. This short presentation will look at what it takes to get people to change. It will discuss what the change agent needs to do as well as what the individuals being asked to change, need to do. What conditions need to be in place to give the new strategy (due to change) a chance to succeed? When we look at successful strategy it is clear that there is a link between individual change and the overall strategy.
